@LucianSanchezz@davidscottjaffe There’s a reason he never got invited back to work on the reboot. Jaffe is a misogynist larping as some hardcore feminist who encouraged his daughter’s mental illness.
@davidscottjaffe@carpefuturum Nah you just mad the woman from Daredevil doesn’t have a huge chest and guts flying everywhere. You’re not a feminist dude. You’re a prev with really strange takes who’s not right upstairs.
We can dog on Sony all day but there’s a reason they don’t consult you.
@mislead Not at all. They just rotate them out to keep the player economy going. Helps insure that some items have their platinum value rise and fall as time goes on
@PaulTassi For once I don’t disagree. Even from someone who tried to get into D2 multiple times and failed, there’s no reason a new Horizon game is allowed 6 years but sorry no D3.
@Brendzun And this is why the the whole “friendliest community in gaming” narrative about this game that’s been floating around for years is total horseshit.
It’s just as bad as every other MMO. Square Enix just tries its best to sweep the worst stuff under the rug.
I saw today's twitter drama and it looks like Xenos got banned. Personally I don't agree with all their views but I was more concerned with how something outside of XIV's range of scope which is their game and forums could cause someone to get banned in game.
I did some scrolling and I think the best view I could go with is what Tina said here. He is/was a media tour streamer and he represented the company in some aspect. So he is good and bad for the business dramatically. Ultimately, XIV could throw 100 reasons to ban his account in game, but using X or Twitch as a reason kinda rubs me the wrong way.
It's like talking shit about tesla and Elon in Limsa Lominsa, and someone reports it to get your X account banned. The amount of fake policing people do is gonna skyrocket from this and i'm personally not a fan.
I vent and discuss many topics on stream and if I have to worry about what I say live on stream to make sure my in game FFXIV account doesn't get banned that's horrid.
In the end, XIV reserves the right to literally just shut off any account they want because its a paid service and you can refuse service to anyone, but policing outside other social media not a huge fan of. This is really concerning for what's to come for creators and players because there was a 2nd incident from a JPN player who was forced to delete their Twitter post also recently.
@Actually_Tina@Quan2three That’s on Square for hiring two unprofessional activists who were more interested in starting fights online than making Dawntrail a good expansion.
70% of the problems with Dawntrail stem from Kate and Sena not being able to STFU.
