@ak_blueprints@Protodude I’m not sure if you have ever answered this question before, but I have wondered for a long time how you would have handled the Rockman series if you had stayed, or if you were the planner now? What would you do differently and what would you keep the same?
@KevinLamb74 I like that they didn’t force a romance yet, as well as make her a bitchy girl-boss. She was a likable character that helped Adam get back on the right track. I was expecting lots of cringe and cheese, but it was better than I thought it would be.
@Dasutin@infidelity_nes I look forward to playing it! Thanks for tackling this awesome game! Depending on my mood, I bounce between the NES and arcade since they’re vastly different.
@EthanVanSciver Just watched it with the wife tonight. It was better than I expected. The cheese wasn’t as bad. I wasn’t a fan of the original cartoon, just the mini comics that came with the figures. The 2002 cartoon was better.
@Kneon Same here. The film wasn’t as bad as I expected. I preferred the origin in the first few mini comics that came with the characters. The 2002 series was the best, but still had issues with being goofy at times. I’m just not a fan of the Prince Adam alter ego.
@ak_blueprints I am interested in this. Your games are perfectly planned and the characters are fun. Rockman is my favorite and I would enjoy learning your creative process of the building the story, the character design, the stage design and the music.
@infidelity_nes@Protodude@infidelity_nes , I wasn’t addressing issues with your work, but the small problems that the original game had. I believe the game is almost perfect as the passion of the developers shines through, but my nostalgia makes me a bit biased though.
@infidelity_nes@Protodude Metal Blade being overpowered. Too strict Crash Bomb usage for Boobeam Trap in Wily 4. Lack of ability to farm weapon energy prior to boss fight. Secondary boss weaknesses. All these were addressed in the Revamped hack of the game. Check out a walkthrough.
@EthanVanSciver I appreciate the perspective from you and the great, @BloodyRedBaron . Excellent points on a future lacking in skills like yours. From both of your views, what do you believe is the best course of action moving forward now Pandora’s box has been opened?
@EthanVanSciver I’d be interested in a deep dive from your perspective because I see his point. I’ll always entertain my mind being changed, especially from someone that understands the business much more than me.
@GabrielValles He’s correct. It’s a tool that will put many out of business, but we must navigate with these new times by changing. It’s very much like denying the automobile and vehemently sticking with a horse and buggy.
@ThatChrisGore Clear cheating that the ideological compromised refuse to see. Sad. I know far too many friends in the industry that have left. It’s just not viable as it once was.
