what did I miss?

Hope to get reconnected with you if you are reading this!
@Germain8611 I think that identity can be a great ally or stubborn adversary when it comes to habit formation or cessation.
Deep down I identified as a pot head loser so I had to self-sabotage to preserve that identity.
Then I was reborn, a new creation in Christ. Poof. Old habits gone.
I used to be addicted to pot and then one day I stopped doing it.
Addicts, be it porn, video games, or booze… have u simply tried not being addicted anymore???
Disclaimer:
I lacked sufficient will power to quit on my own, tried many times to quit, but always falling back into old habits.
A little while after learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my desire to smoke vanished. I believe God delivered me from my addiction. PTL!
