People have been raising concerns about @Bybit_Official P2P merchants (many of whom users now openly describe as scammers) and so far, there hasn’t been any clear or consistent action from Bybit to address it.

Now look at this situation:

A user attempted to sell $730 (₦1,009,097) worth of crypto. The merchant allegedly sent a fake bank receipt claiming payment had been made, but no funds were actually received.

The seller immediately filed an appeal on Bybit.

Instead of properly investigating the dispute or verifying the transaction, Bybit reportedly released the $730 to the merchant without the user’s consent, despite the complaint.

How do you explain this?

At the very least, disputes like this should be fully investigated before funds are released. Ignoring a complaint and releasing assets anyway raises serious concerns about fairness and platform trust.

$730 may not be small money to overlook for the average user, it’s real money that deserves proper attention and due process.

@Bybit_Official should look into this case urgently.

Dear @Bybit_Official @Alpha_Bybit i did a p2p transaction of $730 yesterday with a popular vendor called SPEEDPAYER

This guy has claimed that he make payment and keeps sending me fake receipts of unknow shadow bank.

I initiated an appeal while processing the appeal without my consent @Bybit_Official released the fund to him while I have not received my Money and blocked me from making additional appeal.

Unless you are aiding scammers verify my proof and bank statement before releasing the find to the scammer Merchant

@BybitAfrica look into this!!
