Truman said "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Henry Mere says "If you can't stand the heat, don't go into the kitchen in the first place".
@maxdnharris Wouldn’t it be more help to the working poor if, say, there was no tax on the first $14K then start feeding it back in at $48K income so that by $72K it’s fully levied?
Those incomes align with current tax brackets.
That way no tax break for high earners and the IRD do the math
@AJboi46 I think that’s a stupid way of saying stop milking the rich.
The fallacy that the rich pay less tax %age due to capital gains is just that, a fallacy.
@AJboi46@NZNationalParty Meanwhile the world is on fire and your response is that Kiwis run around with a burning rolled up newspaper up their jacksies as a deterrent, is that it?
So I assume the government will now remove the NZTA board?
They’re unelected people making decisions for our transport network including overseeing $32B budget over 3 years.
Also isn’t the Health NZ unelected?
Wait… does ACC board have MPs on it or unelected people? Wait…
@michaelwoodnz What about the $51M REALLY LARGE that this moron squandered on a bike bridge with nothing material ensuing.
Nobody, including MAMILs almost certainly, would have regularly used it.
A sop to middle class wankers.
@Eastandbays The problem with the modern world is that you cannot tell who the threat is or where it’s from.
What we know for sure is that the threat is real and we need to protect ourselves.
@Awanui_Putataua@MomoStJohn Wtf!
No matter how much money is poured into health, and virtually any other ‘do-good’ initiative by a conservative government, they’re never satisfied.
If it was a Labour government they’d be cheering them from the rafters.
