Because de Lima, Arroyo, Trillanes, Jinggoy, and other politicians still held public office, passed some laws, and got paid even they were detained.

@gmanews If they are all sincere on balik-trabaho at pagtutulungan, try muna kaya nila mag-reach out sa isa’t isa and communicate. Hindi yung kanya kanya silang press release, fb live, at media interviews. A true SP is a leader of the whole senate institution, not of the majority alone.

Sad to watch. Shoving. Pushing. Supposedly trying to prevent individuals (including 18 marines) from entering the senate halls.

Some questions here. Is it wise for the DILG to be here? What should’ve been the role of the Sgt At Arms in this situation?

Yes, there is a power issue in the senate now but all senators & their guests are allowed to enter the premises freely. It is a co-equal branch of government.

@iamkarendavila Jonvic’s acting as senate Sgt At Arms is OA. He could have done better since Sen Win Gatchalian asked him to prevent possible incidents and not start turmoil.

@dzbb Yeah majority present then is 12, they can have quorum that time dahil lamang pa rin ang majority, in a sense na absent lang yung ibang members nila. But now it is different, you cannot call 12 as majority kasi yung 12 na absent ay hindi nila member. They need tie breaker.

@PhilippineStar Actually among the 4 SPs under BBM’s administration, Chiz is the only one that can talk with sense. Yung hindi naninira ng majority or minority. And I think he can hold the majority of the senators, yun nga lang may sabit din syang kaso.
