@MNProgressNow For example , AG Ellison is appointed to the Ken Martin; the DFL would have no ability to remove him from that role.
She is elected by the DFL and considered a State Party Officer per the governing documents; she is a DFL official and can (and should) be dismissed for cause.
Why I chose to not seek the DFL endorsement
My mother always told me that I had to vote Democrat because they were the party that cared about families like ours. I still believe that, but we have a lot more to do to bring communities back in. Therefore, after listening to the district, I have decided to not seek the DFL endorsement. We are not here for optics. We are here to do the work. Some have lost trust in our party. It is my mission to bring people back to the DFL and hopefully our spaces will look more like Community in the future. I am hopeful for our progress and know that if we get back to our platform, we will win! I look forward to building our campaign for the primary!
@MNProgressNow Walter Mondale being an ex-officio is not the same as being directly elected through the state party to represent said party. It’s apples and organges.
She is accountable to the same rules that a local director is. Her specific role doesnt exempt her from the rules.
@MNProgressNow If she was a DNC member appointed by the chairman, elected by the national caucuses/reguosn, or an ex-offcio member (Chair of the DGA, National Dem Women Federation), etc, you’d most likely by right - but she’s elected through the DFL and accountable to DFL rules.
@MNProgressNow That’s not how that works — DNC members are considered State Party Officers and are elected by delegates of the DFL state convention (just as state directors are). The rules are the same for all DFL party officers, from a local sectary to a DNC member.
Since the OneMinuteTours guy trashed his reputation and skipped town, Becka Thompson is attempting to become the local TikTok historian. She believes things about the Minnesota Capitol building that are, to say the least, in a different reality.
@husninino@jacob_mauren You just keep showing how ignorant you are — there isn’t a mechanism for the state party to do more than overturn the result and put the city unit on probation. Stop acting like you know what the fuck you’re talking about. You look like an idiot.
@husninino@jacob_mauren I don’t live in Minneapolis — I don’t give a shit about Jacob Frey tbh; I’m here talking about an inconsistent standard being applied by the state party but I fear you still don’t get it; which is why I say again “stay out of grown people’s business”.
Harmeet Dhillon, head of DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, posted a photo of herself signing a document.
The document indicates that she is launching a Title VI investigation into The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
@husninino@jacob_mauren You seem to not know how to type - which one again lends credit to the idea that you’re taking about a subject completely out of your grasp.
That’s fine; once again, this is grown people’s business.
@husninino@jacob_mauren You literally just did -
“The whole thing should've been abolished. Caucuses are inherently undemocratic and favor insiders.”
The whole thing being the city convention
@husninino@jacob_mauren You’re actually not though - go find me the provision of the state party’s documents that says a random committee of the party can ABOLISH caucuses unilaterally.
@husninino@jacob_mauren If you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about maybe stay out of grown people’s business. You’re just saying shit for the hell of it.
