Giannis says he'd watched exactly ONE NBA game in his life before he got drafted then they told rookie Giannis to guard OJ Mayo: 'Who's OJ?'😭
"The only NBA game I'd ever watched was Kobe, it’s the Lakers versus the Celtics. Then I came here at 18. I'd never been in Milwaukee"
"My first scrimmage of the summer, OJ Mayo was here, and they told me, 'You're with OJ. OJ Mayo.' I looked and said, 'Who's OJ?'"
"And OJ's like, this guy doesn't know my name. I said, 'I apologize, sorry, I never watched.' I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I was in Greece, nobody knew who I am"
@Horton_hears_U Exactly. I tune out most of the twitter discourse. They always complain and compare. Same people will tell you player XYZ is terrible and need to be moved & then praise XYZ player once they have a good stretch.
My landlord had the strangest tenant rule I've ever seen.
Every tenant in his building got one "grace month."
Once during your entire lease, you could tell him you couldn't pay rent.
He would waive that month's rent completely.
No paperwork. No proof. No repayment plan. No questions.
Just once.
When I first moved into the building, I thought it was a scam.
"People must abuse that all the time," I told him.
He smiled and said,
@SpacesGrizzlies This is what I sense too. This team might not be as fast and electric but overall I think they may be smarter and better in there respective roles
@Southside_Gunn Games aside - this is why I’m buying vinyl of my favorite albums. These will be priceless treasure trove for my future kids to understand what there pops listen to and liked as I was growing up.
