Facts are important, especially when people attempt to fabricate historical facts.

Jerry Seinfeld, was approached on a Manhattan street after spending personal time watching a basketball game. He responded to a question about Palestine with an obvious truth that "Palestine does not exist"

His honest response has ignited a controversy that simply should not be.

Prior to 1967 all references to Palestine was synonymous with Jewish people. All artifacts, including currency, documents, and the like containing the word "Palestine" contained Hebrew lettering and were in the Hebrew language. There has never been anything referencing an Arab connection to Palestine prior to 1967

In 1947, the United Nations proposed splitting the British Mandate territory into separate Arab and Jewish states. The modern state of Israel embraced these guidelines. However, the Arabs did not and started a war In an attempt to prevent any Jewish state from existing.

Following the 1948 Arab-Israeli war, the Modern State of Israel was established, while Judea & Samaria (The West Bank) and The Gaza Strip came under Jordanian and Egyptian control.

In 1967, the Arabs once again attacked Israel, resulting in Israel’s capture and reunification of Judea & Samaria and The Gaza Strip

Yasser Arafat called for a new state of Palestine forming an organization he called the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization). He chose the land reunified by Israel in 1967 after the Six Day War for "Palestine", Gaza and Judea & Samaria. For the first time in history, Palestine would now be an Arab entity.

Hence, Yasser Arafat "created" a new entity, the heretofore nonexistent Arab state of Palestine

When Jerry Seinfeld stated that Palestine does not exist, he is merely stating an historical fact. Nothing more and nothing less

Today, genocide means Islamists starting wars and losing.

But back when words meant things, there was an international, industrial-scale operation to annihilate every Jew on Planet Earth.

It is mind blowing to think there were entire cities with hundreds of thousands to millions of Jews-Krakow, Warsaw, Łódź, that functionally don't exist anymore.

The Jewish Population is still smaller today than it was in 1939. *We still haven't recovered our numbers.*

Entire institutions of Jewish life literally dont exist anymore.

The one singular difference between Anne Frank and an American Jewish girl born today is that the Jewish girl was born in a democracy 80 years later.

Yet, I am very, very proud to be rooted in a 3,000 year old, ongoing story.

To be a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to have a Bible that is a living, breathing word of God.

Yom HaShoah is a painful day, but as the Rabbis teach us: the God who brings exile, is the God who brings redemption.
