Across Ilorin South, the journey so far is one of commitment to grassroots development and the needs of our communities. Through documented interventions in empowerment, education, social welfare, and infrastructure, Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi’s constituency support reflects the importance of bringing representation closer to the people.
Behind every intervention is a community with needs, a household seeking support, a young person pursuing an opportunity, or an individual working towards a better future. These are the human stories that make community impact meaningful.
This is more than a summary of projects. It is a record of commitment, service, and the journey towards a better Ilorin South.
As we present the interventions ward by ward, we invite you to follow the journey, see the documented work, and reflect on the importance of purposeful representation.
The journey so far is worth documenting. The work ahead remains important. And the commitment to our communities must continue.

A gentle reflection on our departed loved ones, who, during their lifetime, selflessly carried the burdens of their families, tirelessly contributed to the development of their communities, and dedicated their lives to building a better society.
May Allah forgive their shortcomings, illuminate their graves, grant them Al-Jannah Firdaus, and reward them abundantly for their good deeds. May He comfort those they left behind and allow their legacies of service, sacrifice, and compassion to continue inspiring us.
Juma’at Mubarak. May Allah have mercy on our departed loved ones and preserve us upon goodness. Ameen. 🤲
Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi Calls for State Police to Tackle Security Challenges in Kwara
The Deputy Whip of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Member representing Ilorin South Constituency, Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi, has called for urgent and decisive action towards establishing state police to strengthen security and protect lives and property across Kwara State and Nigeria.
Hon. Aladi laid her support
to the state police bill during the plenary session where she stressed that rising cases of kidnapping, banditry, communal clashes and farmer-herder conflicts demand a more responsive security architecture. She noted that state policing would bring security closer to the grassroots, improve intelligence gathering and enable faster responses to threats, particularly in rural communities and farming settlements.
She urged relevant authorities and stakeholders to move beyond discussions and pursue the necessary constitutional and legislative reforms to make state policing a reality. She, however, emphasised the need for effective oversight, professional training, transparent recruitment and safeguards against political interference and human rights abuses.
Hon. Aladi maintained that state police should complement the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies, not compete with them. She called on the Kwara State House of Assembly, the National Assembly and the Federal Government to demonstrate the political will required to advance practical, constitutionally grounded solutions to Nigeria’s security challenges.
She concluded that protecting citizens must remain a non-negotiable priority, urging all levels of government to take concrete action towards ensuring that residents can travel safely, farm without fear and conduct their daily activities in a peaceful environment.
