🎥 🇬🇭 “We know England have got good players, but we have great qualities too.”
“I heard people saying that since we beat Panama, we only need a draw against England, and for me I don’t think that way. Every match is to win.”
— Black Stars defender Jerome Opoku on the World Cup.

🇬🇭🇯🇲 “How did you know we are from Ghana?”
— An interview outside Ghana took an interesting turn when a man correctly identified the interviewee as Ghanaian. When asked how he knew, he explained that they “look alike,” and added that he is from Jamaica. He went on to say they share cultural similarities, including food, comparing Jamaica’s rice and beans to Ghana’s waakye.
