Telecasting racist remarks on national television just for the sake of TRPs is absolutely disgraceful. I honestly don't know how low the makers are willing to stoop for a few ratings. Racism is not entertainment, and such behaviour should never be normalised or given a platform on national television.

FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING RACIAL DISCRIMINATION ON BIGG BOSS 20

To: Colors TV, JioHotstar,
Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC), and
Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

Attention: @ColorsTV @JioHotstar @MIB_India @BeingSalmanKhan
@AmitShah @CMOMaharashtra @MumbaiPolice @BCCC

Subject: Formal Complaint Against Alleged Racist Remarks by Qazi Touqeer Towards Scout OP (Tanmay Singh) on Bigg Boss 20 — Demand for Immediate Action

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my serious concern and disappointment regarding an alleged incident of racial discrimination on Bigg Boss 20, where contestant Qazi Touqeer reportedly called fellow contestant Scout OP (Tanmay Singh) “Japani Gudiya” (Japanese Doll).

Scout OP belongs to Odisha, yet he was allegedly targeted because his facial appearance was perceived as resembling that of people from Northeast India. There is also an allegation that the remark was planned two days beforehand, which requires investigation.

Mocking someone for looking Japanese, Korean, Chinese, or Northeast Indian is not entertainment. It is racial stereotyping when used to ridicule their appearance or ethnicity.

I am deeply concerned that the channel has not demonstrated adequate accountability for this alleged incident.

INDIA STOOD UNITED FOR SHILPA SHETTY IN 2007. WHY ARE WE SILENT TODAY?

In January 2007, when Jade Goody called Shilpa Shetty “Shilpa Poppadom” on Celebrity Big Brother UK, India raised its voice against racial discrimination.

The controversy resulted in more than 45,000 complaints to Ofcom, widespread international outrage, political condemnation, and regulatory action against Channel 4.

When India demanded justice and dignity for Shilpa Shetty in Britain, why should we remain silent when similar racial stereotyping is alleged on Indian national television?

Does racism only matter when Indians are humiliated abroad?

What about the dignity of Indians who face discrimination within their own country?

Whether someone comes from Odisha, Northeast India, or anywhere else, no Indian deserves to be ridiculed because of their facial features or perceived ethnicity.

FORMAL DEMAND FOR ACTION

I respectfully request Colors TV, JioHotstar, the BCCC, and the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to investigate this matter urgently.

I demand a review of the original footage, an explanation of the broadcaster’s handling of the incident, and appropriate disciplinary or corrective action if the allegations are substantiated.

I also request a public apology where warranted and a written response explaining what action has been taken.

India stood united against racism in 2007. Why should we tolerate racial stereotyping in 2026?

RACISM IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT. SILENCE IS NOT ACCOUNTABILITY.

I have supporting video material and request that this complaint receive serious consideration.

Yours faithfully,
A Concerned Indian Citizen

I am strict male supporter of #Scout. I know I am dedicated to him.

But let’s set example for this szn

Every season winner is male or female

But we never had winner from kinnar community. Finally #QaziTouqeer represents kinnar community.

We should support him to win this szn.

Tomorrow is the WKV shoot -

I sincerely hope this issue gets addressed.

@BeingSalmanKhan a contestant
on the show made a racist remark by calling #ScoutOP “Japani Gudiya” simply because of his different appearance.

Making derogatory remarks about someone's appearance is NOT entertainment. When millions of people watch a national television show, such comments should never be normalised or encouraged.

I request you to address this matter during WKV and make it clear that racism has no place on national television.

“Home wrecker” has synonym word.
It should be introduced as “Love Gill.”

[Shadan Aagya @SigmaRuler_]

So Qazi is calling #ScoutOP “ Japani Gudiya ” in today’s #BiggBoss20 promo just because of his North-East-like appearance? And that too seems pre-planned!
This is absolutely below the belt and deeply disrespectful. Targeting someone’s appearance and ethnicity is NOT entertainment. The real question is, why is nobody questioning Qazi for these racist remarks?

THIS WASN'T A SLIP OF THE TONGUE. IT WAS PREMEDITATED!

On 3rd November, Qazi himself said he had given #ScoutOP a disgusting name and would reveal it when the time was right. Now the “Japani Gudiya” remark makes this even more concerning.

Mocking someone's appearance, especially on national television, is NOT entertainment. And PR glorifying it makes it worse.

WE ARE ALL INDIANS. STOP NORMALISING RACISM!

It was all pre-planned by qazi it is of 3 nov.
He is saying ki usne #ScoutOP ka bhut ganda or ghatiya nam rkha hai or time ane pr bolega.
It was not slip of tongue it's pre-planned

[ᴳᵒᵈWARMACHINE @MachineWar88720]

Bigg Boss is a reality show not a platform to normalise racist remarks! Calling Scout “Japani Gudiya” during a fight is not entertainment. Disagree with his game but targeting his appearance or perceived identity is unacceptable. Makers cannot ignore this just for TRP #BiggBoss20

[rntx_silverstone @Silverston10823]

Multiple times #ScoutOP ne akele brtan dhoyee jbki duty qazi ki thi fir bhi usne uska issue nhi bnaya kbhi.
Qazi kafi hfto se nhi dikh rha tha esliye scout se footage lene a gya.
Why qazi using racism against scout by calling "Japani gudiya".

[ᴛᴇᴀᴍ ꜱᴄᴏᴜᴛ ꜰᴄ @Team_Scout_Fc]

Calling someone a “Japani Gudiya” based on their appearance is not entertainment. it's racism and disrespect towards someone who represents India on a global platform.

Passing such demeaning remarks sends a completely wrong message to millions of viewers, especially when they come from a national television platform.

I sincerely request @BeingSalmanKhan and the makers to take appropriate action. Racism should never be normalised or promoted on national television. 🇮🇳
