The Department of War called a rare Pentagon press briefing today following the start of new U.S. strikes on Iran.

At the briefing, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine said CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper will receive additional forces.

My Question: How many U.S. troops have already been committed to these operations, and how big is this additional force deployment?

Officer Brian Elliott gave his life in the line of duty tonight. Maureen and I are praying for his family, loved ones, and his brothers and sisters in uniform as they grieve this unimaginable loss. We continue to pray for a full recovery for the second officer injured in tonight’s shooting.

The suspect remains at large, Hoosiers in the Beech Grove area should remain vigilant, follow guidance from local law enforcement, and monitor official updates. He will be brought to justice.
