Suffice to say, Oogtar was not exactly well received given that he was more obnoxious than Toad, and then there was the fact Oogtar was a pointless character given that Yoshi was primarily intended to fill the gap left by Toad's absence.
Toad made no appearance in Super Mario World (1990), and as such, the 1991 show adaptation followed suit, especially since Yoshi was intended to fill the gap left by Toad's absence...
And then there was the fact, that to try and give John Stocker someone to voice, the show created Oogtar the caveboy to try and fill the slot of the John Stocker-voiced Mario character as Yoshi was voiced by Andrew Sabiston instead..
@flurryfrenzy pointless, as the character of Yoshi (voiced by Andrew Sabiston) was already filling the void that Toad left behind since Super Mario World (1991) did not have Toad in.
@flurryfrenzy In the Super Mario World game, Toad was not even featured, and as such, it was only natural Super Mario World (1991) would not have Toad either.
While the character of Oogtar the caveboy was created to at least give John Stocker someone to voice in the show, he comes off as...
@sleepydoot especially since logically in live-action, the 104th and 332nd should have the black brows on the helmets, and Rex should logically have the ROTS pauldron in live-action, yet merchandise of him in his Phase II armor and his appearance in Ahoska forgets it

In my headcanon, Rex's pauldron when he's in his Phase II armor should be interpreted as the ROTS pauldron (which troopers like Bly's troopers had, one pictured below on the right) when translating Rex's Phase II armor to a realistic style...
@sleepydoot Same.
Honestly, I kind of hate how many realistic translations keep the lack of a black brow on 104th and 332nd helmets, and not everything should be taken literally from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, especially the Clone Trooper helmets and the pauldrons...
@Hansen104th@sleepydoot However, the 332nd also looks uncannily wrong at the same time, because it is literally translating the animation of TCW of how Clone Trooper helmets work, to the point I actually like Hasbro's 2024 TVC figure of the trooper from that Troop builder pack more because it...
@Tapped549080 Has* during 2001 that was. Starting in 2002, the new engines (including updates to the main six) would have painted eyes.
Toby also received painted eyes during 2001. And even Wilbert and Frank had painted eyes in 2001 as well.
