@CityTshwane@nasiphim I then logged a fault and asked why the electricians had not fixed my connection as well. I was informed that I needed to log my own call for my issue to be attended to. What is frustrating is that it is the same meter box, they fixed my neighbour’s connection but left mine.

SAFA PRESIDENT AND CO-ACCUSED REQUEST MORE TIME IN FRAUD CASE
The Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court sitting in Palm Ridge postponed the case against South African Football Association (SAFA) President Daniel Jordaan, former SAFA Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Grown Hluyo, former journalist and director of Grit Communications Trevor Neethling, his entity Grit Communications, and former acting SAFA CEO Russell Paul to 27 August 2026.
The postponement is intended to allow the defence to file a response to the State’s heads of argument in respect of the defence application alleging that the State is unreasonably delaying the finalisation of the matter.
NPA Communications Officer Magaboke Mohlatlole said the State, however, maintains that it has always been trial-ready and submitted that it is ready to proceed with the hearing of the application.
"The accused are facing multiple charges, including fraud involving an amount exceeding R1 million, theft, and conspiracy to commit fraud and theft.
"The State alleges that during December 2017, Jordaan unlawfully signed and backdated a Service Level Agreement between SAFA and Grit Communications for the rendering of public relations and communications services. It is alleged that the agreement was concluded without following the requisite SAFA approval processes and was intended to serve and protect Jordaan’s personal image," said Mohlatlole.
Mohlatlole said it is further alleged that Jordaan procured security services for his personal benefit under the guise of SAFA business operations.
"The State further alleges that Hluyo authorised payments to Grit Communications and a security company despite allegedly being aware that the agreements in question were unauthorised and unlawful.
"It is further alleged that Russell Paul colluded and conspired with the other four accused in the commission of fraud and theft relating to the unlawful 2018 Service Level Agreement purportedly entered into between SAFA and Grit Communications," he said.
President @SAFA_net Danny Jordaan, ex-SAFA CFO Gronie Hluyo, ex-journalist & Grit Communications director Trevor Neethling, Grit Communications & ex-acting SAFA CEO Russell Paul asked for more time in a fraud case. Charges include fraud charges exceeding R1m, theft & conspiracy.
