For almost 30 years I didn’t fit exactly perfectly into the space or into every corner of my ex’s miniscule “box of acceptance” and I was judged for everything-absolutely everything not only by my ex but also by his family. They had a microscope on me all the time. And since I didn’t fit perfectly into their “acceptance box” I was completely unacceptable. I was not worthy of love and respect and was ridiculed constantly. I lived my life trying to be someone I wasn’t just so I could find some peace and maybe finally “earn” their love.

I kept trying to make every one happy and I finally realized that was not going to happen. (I’m not saying that BTS does this)

And I’ll be damned if I’m going to do that to someone else.

They are who they are. I love them. They are free to make their own choices. Will I love or aggree with or align with every choice they make? The answer is simply no. But I’m personally not going to try to fit them into a tiny “acceptance box” because that’s a shitty place to be.

In Wildflower- those of you who know me know it’s my mantra and safe space. My favorite parts are below and my favorite lyrics are “And don’t tell me like you gotta be someone because I’ll never be like them”
