You sound like me. Logical...a learner...and can smell BS a mile away.
I grew up Catholic, then agnostic. Then I read A Case For Christ. Born again Christian for 18 years.
Hard stop.
And then I married a Pentacostal. And the story gets WILD. ๐คฃ
Best wishes on your faith journey. You're gonna figure it out. โค๏ธ
@JulioAsiain@chionerin@SpaceCatVT You cannot sell that which is not yours to sell. You can't sell your soul.
The only way I can see that you can "lose" your salvation is by blaspheming Holy Spirit.
Careful with the rabbit holes, Saints. There's a reason our Lord wishes that we remain separated from the world, for us to be innocent of evil, and for us to focus on whatever is pure and of good report.
We know the world is evil, and has been since the fall.
We know that evil exists in high places, and that a very real spiritual battle rages in every crevice of this world.
If we are incessantly consuming the wicked deeds, hunting for revelations of the next big conspiracy, what do you suppose that does in our hearts and minds? How much of our peace do we forfeit in doing so?
I leave you with the following to allow to stir inside your hearts awhile:
Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
They all beautifully align with Scripture and God's Word:
1. Psalm 46:10 (ESV) โBe still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!โ
2. Psalm 37:4โ5 (ESV) โDelight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act.โ
3. Philippians 4:6โ7 (ESV) โDo not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.โ
4. Proverbs 25:28 (ESV) โA man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.โ
5. James 1:3โ4 (ESV) โFor you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.โ

7. Romans 8:28 (ESV) โAnd we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.โ
8. Matthew 6:19โ21 (ESV) โDo not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heavenโฆ For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.โ
9. Ephesians 4:26โ27, 31 (ESV) โBe angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devilโฆ Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.โ
10. Colossians 3:17 (ESV) โAnd whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.โ
11. Ephesians 4:32 (ESV) โBe kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.โ
12. Proverbs 1:20โ23 โWisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voiceโฆ How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? โฆ If you turn at my reproof, behold, I will pour out my spirit to you; I will make my words known to you.โ
@MyHeavener@LauraBeckerReal How is what you've said a way to win souls? This is exhibit 1 of why people say, "I don't want anything to do with YOUR Christianity".
