18 Washington St. - HQ of Inghinidhe na hEireann Cork.
The RIC raided it in 1902 to remove green flags flying from the top windows! The women inside the building barricaded the door but the police broke through and drew their batons on them.

St Peters, Carrigrohane, the grave of RIC Sergeant Henry Bloxham killed in an ambush at Waterfall 1920. His sister Elizabeth was a suffragette, Gaelic Leaguer, and one of the founding members of Cumann na mBan.
James Adams, Cork Fenian, lived here at Dyke Parade. He worked as an engineer in the nearby Hive Foundry & apparently, he was the go-to man for weapons in the city! His father Marcus was also a well known Fenian on Leeside.
