The Ember doesnβt need some special burner or fuel. It just needs a temperature difference. As long as water is flowing, the tubing stays surprisingly cool even with a flame nearby. Sterno, candles, hot metal, even summer asphalt can all work. Heat is everywhere. PiggyPower just gives you a way to use it.
The Ember only needs heat and water to generate electricity. No direct flame required. Use a wood stove, camp stove, or other heat source. Better yet, the cooling water comes out hot, so you can recover that heat for washing or hydronic use too.
In this video, Iβm going to show you how with just heat and water, we can start building a complete off-grid civilization kit. The electric stove is just there to give you a clean demonstration. The real idea is that this same system could sit on something like a wood stove and recover useful power from heat you were already producing.
No real goal here. I tried replicating corona discharge photography with a Fresnel lens, fried my high voltage module, and got arcs well over 12 inches long. Potentially around the million volt range.

I blasted a piece of quartz with high voltage and somehow turned it into a light bulb. NASA actually documented a very similar effect called quartz cathode luminescence.
At this point I really need to start checking NASA papers before I touch anything.
