Genuinely excited to see this happen. We’ve been able to stack for literally the entire existence of the game.

For this test to occur is honestly very good for the health of the player base who mainly just solo queues.

📋TESTING:
From June 9th to June 23rd we will be conducting the following test in Ranked:

Ranked will be solo queue only for all players Diamond and above. If you are Diamond or higher, you will not be able to squad up as a premade in Ranked.

Our hypotheses are that this will create more evenly matched high-skill lobbies, reduce hard-carries into Diamond, Master and Predator and build trust in the overall fairness of these matches.

While this is a commonly requested feature by portions of our community, we will be closely monitoring community sentiment and match data.

Note: The in-game notification that some encountered yesterday (May 19th) was a visual error, and players are currently still able to squad up without restrictions.
