The foreigners living in Britain are treated radically differently than the British ex-pats living in the gulf.

They’re working in the gulf, they’re not on any kind of welfare and if they misbehave in any way, I guarantee you, the host governments drop the hammer on them.
In the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it is illegal to possess a Bible and expats workers operating the oil infrastructure live in fenced compounds so their ‘western’ culture won’t infect the rest of society. Imagine if the British passed a law to outlaw the Quran.
