We're watching an enormous misread of the results from Wisconsin. The dumb take is that the DSA has reached its ceiling, and the establishment is fighting back. That's totally wrong. The normie Dems are simply negotiating the terms of their surrender.
Those terms are obvious: the Democratic Party will ingest and mirror the key precepts of the DSA, and they won't go whole hog against DSA candidates who don't totally say the quiet part out loud. This is why Slotkin didn't endorse Stevens against El-Sayed in Michigan. It's why Schumer and Jeffries didn't endorse Cuomo against Mamdani in NYC.
In return, the DSA's most important figures will refrain from endorsing the very worst candidates. This is why Bernie and AOC didn't endorse Hong. If they had, she would have won.
The goal of the pact is obvious: candidates who are DSA in all but name, who receive unified Democratic support after the primaries, and who still have a shot at winning a general election. So don't be fooled: the DSA is driving the car, choosing the direction. The normie Dems are just negotiating over the speed.
@EricJBott There are plenty of conservatives groups that aren't crazy about WisGOP. They are staunch pro-lifers who campaigned for Varnam and Schroeder.
I want to thank Wisconsinites across our state for putting their trust in me.
This fight is bigger than any one party. It’s bigger than any one candidate. This fight is about Wisconsin and protecting the state we know and love.
Let’s move Wisconsin forward, together.
@SteveAustinWI I like my insurance. I don't want to share a hospital room with strangers, not be able to choose my doctor, or be put on a wait list. No thank you. Tiffany for the win!
@PaddyMacMke I think she's talking about a different group of so-called working people. She means people who are working for the movement, not construction guys or business owners.
Reminder: "Whiteness" and the non-sensical rantings about whites from progressive women aren't about skin color but ideology.
She notes at the end that the guy should've identified himself with a 🌈 pin.
Why am I referenced as an African-American?
I hate that!
My ancestors go back well over 200 years in this country. That's much longer than most other Americans.
I’m American!!!
I’m just a regular guy with a public high school diploma, so maybe I’m missing something. If CVS can monitor how much and how often I buy Nyquil anywhere in the country, don't tell me in 2026 we can't come up with a fair, honest, and accurate voting system.
