“Progressivism isn’t progress — it’s Marxism wearing a new suit. From the Berlin Wall’s fall to today’s hypocritical ‘big tent’ chaos, John Summer explains why this ideology is headed for spectacular collapse. God is laughing… and they still don’t get the joke.”

What if the real power shaping governments today isn’t politics or elections — but software? In The Dialog Society Part II, Robert Eringer connects Peter Thiel’s private forum to Palantir’s data empire and asks what it means when private algorithms increasingly determine national decisions.

1969: Flag-painted “Flag Mobile,” fired by Maria von Trapp, Moon Landing, skipped Woodstock. 1976: Bicentennial fireworks in NY Harbor. John Summer reflects on a lifetime of milestones — and why, in America, we can all “call the road our own” as the country nears its 250th.

NOW: Hundreds of state workers are rallying at the State Capitol against Gov. @GavinNewsom's new return-to-office mandate that takes effect today requiring most state employees to work in person four days per week instead of the previous minimum of two (for most state workers).
They argue telework has proven effective and productive, adding the return-to-office mandate will increase traffic and add costs for everyday workers and taxpayers.
On the other side, Newsom argues the return to office mandate will improve productivity and improve downtowns.
@SEIU1000 says the demonstration also comes as its contract with the state has expired. No agreement has been reached for a new contract.
$𝗦𝗢𝗖 just priced its equity + convertibles and set a firm July 2 close.
Does this mean @jpmorgan has enough confidence that the cross-conditioned $675M Term Loan B + revolver will also close simultaneously?
If so, $SOC has likely avoided a near-term liquidity crisis.
“The issuance and sale of the common stock and the notes are scheduled to settle on July 2, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.”

“Santa Barbara’s proposed rent control isn’t helping renters — it’s slowly bleeding small landlords (retirees, young families) dry with 3% caps, crushing bureaucracy, and making it nearly impossible to exit the market. A must-read warning on why this policy will shrink housing supply even further."
