@unusual_whales Read as: “Employers cutting staff in anticipation of AI doing work got a reality check. On the other hand, employers using AI as a tool to raise productivity of their work force rake in the harvest.”
@GustavS listen to this man. And I got the same experience.
This is how I got hooked on youtube 10+ years ago. I played music and got recommended a whole new world of music I did not know… but loved.
Today. Youtube is trash in that matter. Puts me in a bubble.
@Spotify is the same in that regard.
While I can see your point, I wonder if you ever took Macro Economics class at university?
I mean, picking a random example: Mexico.
How do I push Texas, Nevada and the US to improve business climate?
I start a very public show of how we can do much better in Mexico. Not because of labor cost as for other manufacturers… but because of stupid politics.
Same for battery tech. How do I make my supply chain more resilient? I prove that I can do it to at comparable cost. So “dear supplier, get your sct together and pull your weight…”…
@MaxEricThiel@alojoh Since days I am hovering my quote button to spell this out.
Seems borderline emotional or obsessed.
I value plenty of his work, but on do many occasions I see his emotions get in the way of looking at an alternative and rational explanation to things…
@OriginsOfMeme@cb_doge Abd yet… a 44B stab at Twitter to turn it to X, to be bought by SpaceX to go public… turned into 100B.
Even though… all the “experts” said that everything he did along the way was “wrong” or “stupid” or whatever… (I stopped listening at some point…)
@Ahmetzbek@robmaurer You are saying Google will sell its 7% stake in SpaceX? The way that Mercedes-Benz sold its original 50M 10%stake in Tesla that would be worth 150B or more today? You think they are Zetsche-level stupid?
I will soon be introducing a bill to give the public a 50% ownership stake in the largest AI companies in America.
This would guarantee that the trillions created by AI are used to improve the lives of all of us — and block oligarch decisions that harm the American people.
@SawyerMerritt@Tesla “Have you seen? FSD available in three EU countries now.” —- “No, but I never said it will never come. In the meanwhile, come with me, I take you on a ride in my ID.7. Those drive assistant features are the best tou can buy right now.”
@YoungOpulence@JonErlichman I want to laugh, but me myself did some DD on plenty of companies, but then did not pull the trigger.
But kept them on the watch list. Did 10% of those that I did not buy go to 0? Yes. But a got 25% went 10X, 20X or more…
@MartaEvora72@JonErlichman I think the lowest it was, was a 70+% down from IPO price… so you could have made a million investing only 800-1000$…
Could have. Would have.
Unfortunately, this will not change much. THEY are still in denial. And it is not like they have been positively influenced by science or data previously.
Too bad. History teaches us that the problem most likely solves itself the “Darwin-Way”.
I hope that I will look back at this opinion of mine in 10-20 years and can say: God was I wrong about that.
@overton_news And why does nobody in his panel asked him: “Why are you saying that you are supposed to hate him?”
Hate is a very strong word. And feeling. Why would Maher be supposed to hate him?
