@SarahTheHaider I've used Anki and Quizlet for memorising foreign language vocabulary and they worked really well. I think any app that uses spaced repetition to periodically show you the flashcards you need to remember will end up having some positive effect
@MaleHumanPerso1@fitzfromdublin Whereas Hasan just seems to sit there and sigh his way through his steams. Didn't he used to be play video games before talking politics? I guess he built up the viewer base by gaming and then when he grew out of it and migrated to politics, some of the viewship followed him
@MaleHumanPerso1@fitzfromdublin Vaush had this uncompromising worldview, delivered with extreme confidence and fluency as though he had nothing to learn from anybody. He reminded me of "that guy" at college who would interrupt the lecturer to tell us why Rawls and Mill were idiots. Kinda mesmerising to watch
@katrosenfield Being able to have a convo with someone whose beliefs you may not share but whose irreverance for certain taboo topics you nevertheless can appreciate and even enjoy, is a very normal IRL social skill but a terrible fit for internet culture that rewards accountability-holding
@HistoryBoomer I dont think every conversation needs be an accountability-holding session. People can have cordial conversations with those with whom they might disagree but still enjoy the irreverance with with the person talks about certain taboo topics. Its part of having good social skills
@DinaBelenkaya Kramnick accused Danya of cheating while providing no evidence of it, and the chess world turned Kramnick into a pariah for it. Carlsen heavily implied Hans was cheating OTB and provided no evidence and there was almost no criticism of Carlsen for it. How does he feel about that?
@chesscom I just got a smothered mate in a real game for the first time and I think the postgame coach dialog box should make a bigger deal about it. The generic "nice midgame tactic" just isn't enough here
@PaulCoffey_DL@stellaomalley3@PatLeahyIT Not trying to sound snarky, but is being in a tricky situation an excuse for not doing journalistic due diligence?
And if he is in a tricky situation, in that if he feels as though he cant report fully on a topic without facing internal backlash, then why isnt he speaking up?
@ColetteColfer@PatLeahyIT Excellent point Colette. This isnt unbiased reporting. Without even asking for a quote from the many organisations that would oppose these measure, the article just functions as a defacto press release for the ICCL. There's no attempt to fully inform the public
@RachelMoiselle I dont want to vote for someone who would do the things you've described or a party that supports it. But i cant make any better decisions without knowing who it is
@RachelMoiselle Hi Rachel. I do get why you're reluctant to say what party this person represents. Though is it not of import to the public to know this so we can take it in to account when considering voting options in the future and if the party supports this kind of behabiour and/or ideology?
@JeremiahDJohns@katrosenfield What do you think is the ratio of people/writers who read her post and came to the same conclusion as you versus those who read it and agreed with her but didn't bother commenting? "Dozens" versus how many? Why is the opinion of the former cohort more important that the latter?
I tried multiple times and even park up and ran into the carpark to find someone to help me, but there werent any emoloyees around. In the end, i went to the pay-by-the-day carpark. Could i get a refund please? Thanks in advance
@ShannonAirport Hi, i couldnt get in to the park4less carpark this afternoon. I didnt go through the barrier quick enough, and then it wouldnt raise again for me. The QR code didnt work and the button to request a ticket didnt work either.

@LPerrins Does he actually have an audience though? I mean, what % of those who listen to him like or agree with him vs the % who hate-listen or listen out of a morbid curiosity.
He seems like Andrew Tate. A loud, obnoxious retard but with no actual influence
