I’ve literally never met a single person that doesn’t want permanent DST. I’ve only met people that hate the fact it gets dark at 4:30 PM in December. I’ve never met anyone enjoys it being dark at 4:30 PM. And I’ve certainly never met anyone who has said that they want permanent Standard time.
