They leave quickly, but Yamamoto keeps insisting that he has “forgotten a letter” and tries to get out of the car to return to the tunnel. His friends force him back in and eventually drop him at home.

Around that time, the three girls had recently returned from a trip to Kyoto or Nara where they claimed to have seen something resembling the spirit of a laughing monk.

The club tried throwing the video away once. A few days later, it was back on the shelf.

The crew starts tracing the tape backward through former club members and finds someone who remembers when it was filmed.

The shop employee couldn't remember her either. She checked the day's order slips afterward: nothing had been ordered from that table. In the footage, there isn't even a glass of water in front of her.

While he is distracted, Inoue gets up to use the bathroom. A woman who has been sitting at the table behind him quietly gets up and follows him. The cameraman later says he hadn't noticed her at all during the interview.
