I hate it when people overemphasize negativity. It is unhealthy for people like me,
I’m wired to absorb things easily. So, I consciously do not listen to certain popular preachers; not because they are bad preachers, but because they are not healthy for my personal growth.
I do not allow certain reels to appear often on my timeline. I will immediately block those people, and I’ve had to mute some people’s status.
This may not be applicable to others, but I have high receptivity, so I consciously guard myself.
This is coming from a standpoint of self-discovery, and everybody should know themselves enough to reject what is “good.”
Yes ! what is good! It isn’t every “good” thing that is healthy for you.
The most dangerous things to a great man are good things to a normal man.
Know what befits your growth and health.
Don’t give too much attention to people that only chat you up when you post fine pictures or flashy things.
They are not to be taken seriously.
They are not deeply into you; they chatted you up because you just attracted them again.
They will go when that attraction fades and come back the day you are able to attract them again.
They do not know your true value and worth, they only judge you by how you look .
Your externality is their priority and you are more than that.
It is not a must that everyone struggles the way you do to become financially stable.
Some people are simply walking on foundations their parents already laid for them.
They have parents who were intentional about the future of their children. While building their own lives, they also made plans to make sure their children never face the kind of financial hardship others grew up with.
These children were exposed to the right education, the right skills, and the right people at an early age.
Some of them had mentors before they even knew the meaning of the word.
Some had parents who quietly paid for courses, pushed them into opportunities, and corrected their mistakes early.
So you can’t compare yourself with these people. If you do, you will only frustrate yourself and feel like you’re not moving, even when you actually are.
Coming from a less privileged home means your journey will be different.
You have to work on your mindset first, because many of us grew up in environments that limited how we see life.
You have to deliberately change your circle, build new networks, and expose yourself to things your background never gave you.
If you are still lackadaisical about your life and finances, be ready to struggle longer than necessary.
Emotions won’t fix anything. Complaining won’t either.
What truly changes your story is getting up and doing the work.
One of the Myles Monroe’s book I read said ;
People who grow up with advantages often start with access, but those who rise from nothing develop capacity. And capacity always outlives privilege. What you become is more important than what you were given.
Comparison is the enemy of purpose. When you measure your life by someone else’s advantages, you blind yourself to the purpose God placed within you. Your journey may be harder, but it is uniquely designed to produce greatness in you.
SIR MIKE
Happy Valentine’s Day to all the people in non-toxic relationships!
It is better to be single than to be in a relationship that is full of pain and agony.
