@kitsuneredFES NTSC TVs were at 60hz and PAL TVs were at 50hz so they needed to be adjusted properly per version. Also when games had strict storage sizes it was not feasible to have every localisation on one disk/cartridge. Back then shipping games overseas was pretty difficult too.

xenoblade 1 is like. "babys first kino" rpg and it kinda starts paling in comparison when you start playing more games in the genre and other xeno games but i'll forever have a soft spot for it. it was my favourite game ever at one point too lol

@spacerunaway_ this is literally my exact experience!! It was my first JRPG and I fell so in love with it and then ended up playing way more and now it’s like not even in my top 5 but I’ll always adore it for opening the door of the genre for me :)
