Very saddened to hear this. I mean c’mon - it’s PONDS FORGE. Hopefully the council and government can step in here. A major blow for swimming in GB. Fingers crossed it’s sorted as quickly as possible 🤞🏽

Managed to sneak off work to watch the news & pleased I can have my hair cut, but cannot go to the gym & the kids cannot go for a swim? Seemingly because those activities don’t lower the risk of huge physical/mental health issues in the same way haircutting does - hang on what?

I missed the boat but pool reopening guidance was released yesterday by @Swim_England - Marvelous step in the right direction. Look forward to seeing everyone splashing up and down again soon. Also a chance for some incessant whining I’m sure but you can’t keep everyone happy 🤣

So here is a thought. Maybe when we head back to the pool we can all be more appreciative of the club volunteers, coaches & just allow the swimmers to actually just ENJOY going for a swim instead of stressing about pbs. Maybe? Please? We’ve all seen how much they’ve missed it 😢

What a different a month makes. It’s okay though as I have set up a lifeguard chair and am monitoring my kids splashing around in the paddling pool. Even finding a chance to offer some constructive feedback on their splashing. Maybe I should just let them play #isolationproblems

@RealSwimParent Terrible time for small sports clubs at the moment. Most, not all, but most of us still get paid during this challenging period. If you want your sport and club to be here at the end of this epidemic, consider paying your subs as you would. Costs don't just stop for clubs.🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️
