i may not have been perfect, but everything I gave you came from a genuine place. I listened when you had no one else to talk to. I saw the good in you even on the days you couldn’t see it in yourself. I stayed when walking away would have been easier, and I forgave when holding onto anger felt justified.
I never loved you for what I could get out of it. I loved you because I truly wanted to see you happy and at peace, even if that peace didn’t include me. I showed up consistently when others only showed up when it was convenient for them.
I gave you patience, understanding, and a safe space without ever keeping score.
One day, when life shows you how rare it is to find someone who loves you without conditions or hidden motives, you’ll think of me. You’ll remember the way I cared for you even when you gave me very little in return.
And you’ll realize that losing me wasn’t just losing a person it was losing someone who only ever wanted the best for you, even when you didn’t choose me.
nobody talks about how weird it is being kinda suicidal. it’s not like you plan on doing it but everything just feels heavy and exhausting and you wouldn’t mind if something happened but on the other hand you can’t go because you have pets and loved ones.
There's nothing louder than the silence between two people who love each other, but ended things because one of them didn't have the capacity to choose the other. So the other had to choose themselves, even though they didn't want to leave.
