While Israel continues its genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and persists with imposing its unlawful occupation and system of apartheid against Palestinians, PM Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by the ICC for war crimes and crimes against humanity, is set to address the UN General Assembly in New York instead of standing trial at The Hague.

It is doubly shameful that the US government continues to ignore the arrest warrant against Netanyahu - while denying Palestinian representatives visas to attend the UNGA.

Nearly two years since the ICC issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu, impunity continues to reign - and Palestinians are paying the price. Continuing to undermine the ICC sends a cruel message to all victims of international crimes that prospects for justice remain elusive while the USA and other powerful states deliberately erode the universal value of international law.

All states, including the USA, should enforce the Court’s arrest warrants and hand over Netanyahu to the ICC. International law must be upheld and international justice mechanisms supported to end impunity for international crimes and ensure respect for human rights for all.

Yesterday cleric said something Muslims called an insult to their prophet, and they unalived him.

Muhammad did the same thing.

When a poet insulted him, Muhammad asked, “Who will kill the man who has hurt Allah and His Messenger?” His companions agreed, they deceived the man, and killed him. (Sahih Bukhari 4037, Sahih Muslim 1801 Ka’b ibn al-Ashraf)

This is not new. This religion has been doing it from the beginning.

1. Abu Rafi’ —> Jewish leader accused of mocking Muhammad and aiding enemies. Assassinated.
Sahih Bukhari 4037 (mentioned with Ka’b), 4:52:264.

2. Al-Nadr ibn al-Harith —> mocked Muhammad in Mecca with stories/poems. Captured at Badr and executed instead of being ransomed.

3. Uqba ibn Abi Mu’ayt —> harassed and mocked Muhammad in Mecca. Also executed after Badr.

4. Abdullah ibn Khatal —> apostate who had satirical songs sung against Muhammad. Killed at the conquest of Mecca while clinging to the Kaaba. Sahih Bukhari 5:59:582.

5. One of Ibn Khatal’s two singing girls (often named Fartana) —> sang insulting songs about Muhammad. One was killed; the other fled and was later pardoned.

6. A slave-woman owned by a blind companion —> kept insulting Muhammad. He killed her; Muhammad approved it. Sunan Abu Dawud 4361.

7. Early Muslim biography also reports Muhammad asking, “Who will rid me of Marwan’s daughter?” after the poetess Asma bint Marwan insulted him, his companion killed her in her sleep.

8. Abu Afak —> elderly poet. Report says Muhammad asked who would deal with “this rascal,” and he was killed.

Jesus was insulted, mocked, spat on, beaten, and crucified. He did not order anyone killed for it.

2. When people wanted to destroy those who rejected Him, He stopped them

3. When a disciple used violence to defend Him, He stopped it

Peter cut off the high priest’s servant’s ear. Jesus said, “Put your sword in its place,” and healed the man.

4. At His trial He was struck and mocked, He did not call for death

They spat in His face, beat Him, and said, “Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is the one who struck You?”Matthew 26:67–68

When an officer slapped Him, Jesus answered: “If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you strike Me?”John 18:22–23

5. On the cross, while they insulted Him, He prayed for them
They mocked Him: “He saved others; Himself He cannot save.”

His response: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
