An example I pray will never have to be replicated. He is a man that reminds me of my grandfather and the type of man I strive to be. My heart goes out to his family, and those to whom he was close to. This is the passing of the torch to the next gen. Our turn.

John Lewis, a man who I truly admired, and wanted to asked many questions of. How was he beaten and didn't fight back? Disrespected and yet turned the other cheek time and time again... The example he has shown as not only a black man, but as an American is legendary.

The truth is finally being validated. It's unfortunate that it has taken violence for many to accept and recognize what has been here for over 400 years. Kapernick was the warning for what was to come. Now after 4 years, it's here.

A white single parent has twice as many economic resources as a black two-parent family. Whenever someone tries to imply that family structure explains racial inequity, remind them that that’s a racist lie. https://t.co/g5WZF7T0cE
