If you ever think you are dumb, remember that there are men who think gender wars are "funded and fueled" by someone and not caused due to some vile foids.
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani I have dating experience too. Lowering your expectations can be a problem only if the expectations themselves are problematic. Imo let the expectations come to you naturally after some time of dating, and not beforehand.
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani As an adult, you need to know the difference between a fantasy and a standard.
For example, if I want someone very loving and does not smoke (a boundary), it's standards.
But if I want someone who looks a certain way, inherits a palace and writes poetry for me, that's fantasy.
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani I was referring to Cinderella. I haven't read Pride and Prejudice (because I am more of a nonfiction reader) so I'd not talk about that.
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani You cannot let popular culture shape everything for you, can you? Popular culture has historically pushed problematic things sometimes, and you just cannot defend them saying you grew up with them. I mean you are an adult so now you can think for yourself.
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani Again, no unrealistic standards.
Most guys actually want realistic aspects like being attractive, loving, and respectful. If any guy wants a supermodel-ish woman, it is obviously absurd too unless he is supermodel-ish himself.
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani No, you cannot convince me that unrealistic standards are good or romantic by any means.
Yes, some tales do have that, but isn't unlearning or changing some previous things (when and where necessary) one of the core concepts of being progressive?
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani That is of course true and nothing is there to deny about it. I mean nobody would date someone who is not financially well off. That is just being sane and right.
The absurdity is when some women want a man way richer than themselves.
@OhajiemoU85445 No.
If she is a terrible person she will seek to treat you terribly anyway. No matter she is rich or poor.
So just go for good people and avoid bad people. And do not date out of desperation.
Men always say "he's not a man, that's a boy" whenever a man does something awful
I think more women should start saying "she's not a woman, that's a girl" whenever a woman cheats, abuses, or murders 🤷🏻♀️
@Mespoinathecul1@callmeMaharani I mean if patrilocality was the norm of that age and place, it would have made sense to look for a well-off husband because that is where the wife would live for the rest of her life.
But now, when couples increasingly live on their own (for good), what exactly is the
