Spoiler Alert: Disclosure Day isn't really about aliens or anything like that. It's about magical glow sticks that are never explained or exposited, but comprise the overwhelming bulk of the plot. They also do whatever Spielberg and Koepp need them to do whenever the plot runs aground.
Ok. So I had to see "Disclosure Day" to form my own opinion.
First of all. A good movie could definitely be made based on the concept of UFO disclosure.
This is not that movie.
It's two hours of meaningless and stupid car chases with some psychic nonsense thrown in ending with a public mass disclosure event.
A better movie would have left out the car chases, *started* with the mass disclosure event, and then spent the next two hours diving into what comes after and what it all means.
I would give this movie a 3 out of 10 and I feel that is being generous.
Spielberg had one chance to shoot his shot here and it was a major, major, miss.
@PlayStation Already seen this character before. She’s a Mary sue, she will be perfect and have no character arc and Kratos’s journey would not be possible without her helping constantly behind the scenes because she is better than him.
@fromsoftware_pr I’d be interested in playing Dusk Bloods as a huge From Software fan but no way the multiplayer game is going to be worth a Switch 2 purchase.
By far the dumbest decision in the sequels was to introduce this new big bad guy - Snoke - and then kill him off with absolutely zero explanation of who he is or why he's important.
And then re-introduce the same big bad guy from the original trilogy because they ran out of ideas.
I think "Dad of War: Laundry" might be the first main stream example of a proper Ship of Theseus.
Some games shift direction all at once, some change entirely from game to game, but God of War has genuinely been replaced piece by piece until its completely unrecognizable from what it was.
Nothing remains of the original idea except the loose idea of fighting God's.
It's not just Kratos. The style has changed fully from a grittier, darker world to this stereotypical fantasy world. The gameplay is now the one button combo system with spidy sense parry. The story isn't even revenge or anger focused anymore, it's really unclear why they're fighting half the time.
@CultureCrave I’ll pass on this one. This undercuts the emotional weight of the first game and getting rid of Kratos draws serious red flags. Not to mention the talking cube and sword which belongs in a generic fantasy Ubisoft would make.
Martian wind.
A series of 126 x/y tilting mechanical devices connected to tall dried grass stalks by artist David Bowen. The mechanisms will tilt, move and sway based on data collected from the wind sensor on the Perseverance Mars rover.
