@maxraskin I wish all interviews covered this much ground. I just finished Jonathan’s book, and it doesn’t sit well with me. He’s no longer in contact with Michael but doesn’t explain why, why Michael doesn’t have a reaction to the book. It’s like he’s still competing with him.
@BriGrey This makes no sense. Serious fiction is much more difficult to read than nonfiction. I could read 100 books/year easy if I only read nonfiction.
@MikeDSykes@marcbain_@EQL Bots aren’t the problem; resellers are. Platforms and retailers need to do more to prevent them from making purchases. It’s not difficult.
@BarzNearMe@thedailybeast The idea that people should project politics onto artists or artistic works in the first place needs to be dispelled. Lizzo isn't the problem; we are.
@karidaniels Can't review a shoe without wearing it. That's how we get worthless reviews that all sound the same. The toebox is this material, the laces are that color, the insole is this. The great advantage of having it in hand is to evaluate performance, outfits, feel, fit, comfort, etc.
@dieworkwear I just saw Tar and thought, “Every one of her outfits is amazing! I want to dress like that!” But then when I imagine myself, as a 5’7” guy dressing like her, it looks sloppy and incoherent. Any advice for actually pulling it off?
@SoleSavy @dp16 @LKLIHOOD@itsdannyball They also know how to alienate the community by deleting their Instagram posts when they create controversy. Real creatives would stick to their own vision and not be swayed by some online sneakerhead mob. I enjoyed my experience when I visited; too bad there’s no vision.
@zacharybasu The banks will pass the fees on to their customers who are likely, ahem, taxpayers. Let's not pretend this wasn't a bailout of VCs and startups, albeit probably an inexpensive one and, perhaps, one that stopped systemic risk. We'll never know.
