In 2010, an anonymous user named "bitboy" posted free graphics on a Bitcoin forum.

One of them was a white ₿ tilted inside a bright orange circle. He put it in the public domain, and then basically disappeared. That was the last time Bitcoin wasn't orange.

Before all the noise, before every chart had a thousand candles, before the cabals started pushing only memes - there was always the orange coin. It's not some random nickname.

Bitcoin became orange the day that logo went live, and the entire culture followed. The color is the identity. It's on every exchange, every wallet, every stage. "Orange-pilled" is in the dictionary. Even the president is orange. One anonymous post gave crypto its color. Fifteen years later, the whole world knows what the orange circle means.

One reply changed everything.

After Bitboy posted the orange logo, one of the first people to weigh in was "sirius" (Martti Malmi), Satoshi's closest early collaborator, the man who sold the first Bitcoins ever priced and coded the software alongside its creator. One of maybe a handful of humans who were genuinely there at the beginning.

His verdict on the $ORANGE: the best he'd seen.

It was blessed within hours by one of the only people whose blessing meant anything. Then it never left.
