Drug repurposing has long been known to work. Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical industry only focuses on repurposing new drugs that are patent-protected. 👎

With the advent of several new technologies, including AI and functional QR-coding of drugs, it is now possible to evaluate repurposing opportunities within the large number of existing medications - the majority of which are off patent. 💪

These - in theory - be marketed to the world at a fraction of the cost of a new drug. This could, potentially, have a huge impact on national healthcare budgets. 🩷

Why do we believe in Decentralized Science (DeSci) ⁉️

DeSci is a new movement that is mostly focused on being a catalyst for new opportunities in research that can ultimately can lead to new therapies that facilitate well being⚕️

It should be considered a supplement to the funds deployed every year towards empowering research throughout our Universities and Institutions worldwide.

Perhaps the most valuable purpose for the DeSci movement is education - to bring communities together to educate them on health and well-being, and to explore alternative ways to achieve the goal of a longer life and healthspan, and to make people aware that many of the solutions to a healthier life are not only in medicine, but proper nutrition and exercise.
