We often ask, “How can I know what God’s will is?” There are several ways that God speaks to His people, and peace—or the lack thereof—is one of the primary ways. Peace in your soul confirms that your actions or intended actions are within God’s will for you; it acts as an umpire, calling the “plays” or choices you’re making as right or wrong for you.

We make huge mistakes and put our futures in jeopardy when we move forward with things without having peace in our hearts about them. It is always best to wait to do anything until we are assured that it is pleasing to God.

There is also the principle of what I call “stepping out to find out.” We may never know what we are to do unless we begin to move in a certain direction. When we do, we will quickly discover whether peace and grace are with us to continue in that direction or perhaps to go another way. Always let the peace of God rule in your heart, and your life will be fulfilling rather than disappointing.

𝟮𝟭 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥: 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟳 — Taming the Flesh, Tuning the Spirit 🔥
Have you ever felt like your physical cravings—for food, comfort, or distractions—are shouting louder than your spirit? You aren't alone. Today, we dive into the "why" behind one of the most powerful spiritual disciplines: Fasting.

While the New Testament doesn’t give us a rigid command to fast, Jesus didn’t say "If you fast"—He said, "When you fast" (Matthew 6:16). He expected His followers to fast. And guess what? Jesus fasted. His disciples fasted. Paul fasted. They showed us the way!

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗘
Jesus made it clear in Matthew 9:15: "The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast." We are in those days now. Fasting isn't a hunger strike to force God’s hand; God doesn't need to change. Fasting changes us. It quiets the noise of the body so the whisper of the Spirit becomes a roar. Fasting is our way of saying, "Lord, I am hungrier for You than I am for this meal."

𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗦
We aren't walking this path alone. We follow a "cloud of witnesses" who knew that breakthroughs often require a disciplined body:
• Jesus started His ministry with a 40-day fast, overcoming the enemy through the Word.
• Daniel persisted in fasting for 21 days, refusing "choice food" until the heavenly vision came (Daniel 10:3).
• The Early Church fasted and prayed before sending out missionaries, seeking God's strategy over their own (Acts 13:3).
• Ezra called a fast to humble the people and petition God for a safe journey and protection (Ezra 8:21).

𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣-𝗕𝗬-𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. Usually, the body wants to be the boss! Fasting puts the spirit back in the driver's seat. Here is how you can step in today:
1. The Daniel Fast: Focus on fruits and vegetables, denying yourself "pleasant foods" to sharpen your focus.
2. The Intermittent Fast: Abstain from food from 6am to 6pm, using your hunger pangs as a "prayer bell."
3. The Complete Fast: Consuming only water/liquids while saturating yourself in the Word.
Ready to try? Start simple: Skip a meal, fast from 6am-6pm, or go for a partial fast. Replace that hunger with time in God’s presence.

Pro-Tip: If you just stop eating, you’re just on a diet. To fast, you must replace the mealtime with Prayer and Scripture!

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲: "𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘐 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺. 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘩. 𝘈𝘴 𝘐 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧, 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦. 𝘐𝘯 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴’ 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦, 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘯."

𝟮𝟭 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥: 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟱 - 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆? 𝗧𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻!
The spirit world affects the natural world; ask Job. Whilst the devil only comes to try to steal, kill and destroy our stuff; Jesus came for us to have power over Satan. So that we can have life in abundance. Prayer is the most effective weapon to enforce victory over Satan. We don’t have to tolerate the works of Satan in our lives, such as sin, sickness, failure, witchcraft, lack, debt and death. We must resist the devil through prayer, and he will take his baggage and run away from us.

𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗟𝗘
Resist the devil. And he will take all his evil stuff and run away from you (James 4:7).

𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘
Daniel asked God for certain things. God answered but the devil delayed the answer from arriving. As Daniel continued to pray, his answer arrived. Hence, Jesus said we must always pray and not give up or faint. In the New Testament, you see Jesus and His disciples reversing every act of the devil: healing, providing food, etc. Philip went to Samaria, preached the gospel, healed the sick and performed miracles. He reversed the works of Satan.

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗕𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Jesus obtained victory over the devil at the cross. He gave us His authority over the devil. You may pray this sample prayer: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I bind demonic and Satanic activity from my life, my family, my church and my country. I resist the devil and all his works. Run Satan, run. Father, I pray for your will to be done, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let me tell you something.

When somebody says, “I prayed for you,” that ain’t just words. That’s action. That means when you weren’t in the room, when you couldn’t defend yourself, when you didn’t even know what to ask for… somebody went to God on your behalf.

See, anybody can say “I got you.”
Anybody can say “I’m thinking about you.”

But prayer? That’s love that shows up quietly.
That’s love that covers you when life is heavy.
That’s love that asks God to step in where they can’t.

And sometimes you don’t even feel it in the moment.
You just notice later… something didn’t break you the way it should’ve.
Something worked out when it didn’t make sense.
Something protected you when you didn’t see it coming.

That’s prayer.

So if someone ever tells you, “I prayed for you,”
understand this —
they loved you enough to take your name into a sacred space.

And that…
that’s a real love language.
