If the dual chokepoint crisis in the Gulf continues until November, disruptions at Hormuz and Bab-el-Mandeb will have serious impacts on energy pricing, potential gas and other shortages, with high impacts on the costs of shipping, insurance, freight and trade. Pakistan’s role matters, but it cannot change other countries’ decisions or goals. Now would be a good time to make a planning war room for supply shocks. We need to work for the best but also plan for the worst. #Gulfcrisis

The Polio Vaccination Campaign is currently underway across Sindh, with a target of vaccinating more than 10 million children across the province, including 2.4 million children in Karachi. The campaign will continue until September 27, with frontline polio teams conducting door to door visits to ensure that all children under five years of age receive the polio vaccine.

The Government of Sindh urges parents and caregivers to ensure that every child under the age of five receives the recommended two drops of the polio vaccine, helping protect children from polio and safeguarding their health and future.
