@PramilaJayapal (2) - now at 70, taxes and increibly high cost of living, I have to sell the home my children grew up in because I cannot afford to live here. I am already moving my business, employees and tax dollars to Idaho and will watch Seattle crumble from there.
@PramilaJayapal Your policies and those of your like-minded colleagues in local, state and federal positions are FAILED POLICIES! I am a serial entrepreneur who has successfully started, run and sold several businesses in WA state, employing hundreds of people and paying tons of taxes for 50yrs.
@future42org Great job, Hannah. All of these reasons (and many more) are why I chose to buy acreage in Idaho and moving from WA after being there for over 50 years. IMm not jist moving my residence, but my business of 26 years as well. By 2027, I won’t be paying WA over $50k in taxes.
Hannah Dubyne, a realtor from Clark County, did an excellent 'by the facts' breakdown of the new Washington income tax.
Worth watching and sending to friends who are not in the loop, as it goes over how consequential it is going to be for our state.

BREAKING 🅱️: In a jaw-dropping disclosure, former U.S. President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, pocketed $10 million in Burisma bribes. Moreover, Biden has tried to bury explosive evidence that the Bidens took $5 million each to kill a Ukrainian corruption probe
Thoughts......??
MAKE THIS GO VIRAL ON 𝕏. LET’S GO 👏
Nearly a THIRD of Seattle's office space is completely empty. But Seattle’s incoming mayor's solution is to tax building owners even MORE for the empty space. Not to get drugs or homeless camps off the streets, but to tax people who can’t fill their buildings because NO ONE wants to work in that communist hellhole.
H.R. 38 is an absolutely essential bill before congress to grant reciprocal carry rights in all 50 states. For citizens who carry firearms and travel, this would undo the crazy labyrinth of laws that change at each state's border. I personally have permits in 3 states to try and get reciprocity in as many states as possible, but if I want to be safe when traveling in my RV, there are some states I absolutely have to avoid. Urge your senators and representatives to support H.R. 38 and get it on the president's desk this session!
Overroasted, overpriced and you have to swallow your reaction to all of the tats, piercings, wild hair colors and various pronouns while ordering and waiting for your coffee. These “baristas” need to consider their job at Starbucks as a place to learn work and interpersonal/social skills while finishing achool, not a lifetime job. I stipped buying Starbucks years ago and chose to support those local people who serve better coffee, sincere smiles and thanks when I patronize their businesses. Most of the time I just brew my own at home. Get a life Starbucks “Baristas” - and while you’re at it, lose the entitlement attitude as well.
Starbucks baristas in Seattle average about $25/hour with a range from $20 to $30.
Baristas also get:
- Free (or heavily subsidized) health coverage: medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, etc.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match
- The Starbucks College Achievement plan gives eligible partners tuition coverage for a first bachelor’s degree
- Paid time off and options like backup child care and commuter benefits
- Pay increases / differentiated pay for tenure. For example: as of Jan 1, eligible U.S. retail hourly Partners will receive at least a 3% base pay increase, 4% for 2-5 years of service, 5% for 5+ years
That's aside from the free coffee, Spotify & other perks
End your strike, you ungrateful leeches, and get back to work. I'm on team corporate on this one
@JakeCan72 After living in Washington State for all of my adult life, I have chosen to leave the mess it has become and move elsewhere. The taxes are so high and government policies so crazy that I cannot see any improvement for decades. I'm too old for this shit!
Start by ELIMINATING the drug problem in Seattle. These drug-crazed addicts littering our streets need to be given hard choices, not socialistic platitudes. I no longer spend any time or money in Seattle, and I've lived in the area since the early '80's. As much as I'd like to enjoy a nice meal or attend a concert or go shopping, the very real reality of stepping in human shit and being harassed by drug-crazed lunatics is a deterrent that keeps my money in my pocket. I'm sure I'm not alone, and you will never recover from your budget deficit by taxing more. You need to foster growth and commerce, none of which will happen without cleaning up the streets and making Seattle a better place to visit, live and work in.
P.S. - Communism has failed continuously over the history of this planet. Why do you think it will make Seattle better?
RJ - I'm an early supporter, adopter and shareholder, owning a '22 launch edition R1T and anxiously awaiting our new R2. We love our Rivian, but service availability needs to improve significantly. I recently scheduled an appointment for a routine service AND noise coming from the front end, and the soonest I could get into a Seattle/Bellevue area service center was FEBRUARY! Take a look at this article - perhaps your team can come up with a better solution and more timely appointments?

KEEP THE FILIBUSTER! It's essential to maintain the filibuster rule in congress, as its demise would give the ruling party a blank check on passage of legislation. It's there for a reason - tell your representatives and President Trump that this is NOT the answer to end the current government shutdown!
@PattyMurray Yet one more ugly reason why I’m moving to Idaho. You do not represent the people of Washington - you are a corrupt politician who believes that stealing from the American people is more important than going to the dentist!
