The EFCC posted pictures of different tribes caps, telling Nigerians that no matter your tribe or ethnicity, and wherever you may be in Nigeria, the EFCC will get you signifying that they are impartial and non-tribal in their profession.

However, some Yorubas who always attack the Igbos found no meaning in the message the EFCC was trying to pass. Instead, they attacked the arrangement of the caps, asking the EFCC why the Igbo cap was placed on top of the Yoruba cap.

Some Yorubas are the originators of hatred, bigotry, and attacks against the Igbos.

I am hopeful that things will get better in the future, but I must say that some Yorubas have a deep-seated hatred for the Igbo people.

In April 2026, these 3 girls - Chimfumnanya Stephanie Aghaduno, Abasiofon Otobong Sampson, and Damaris Oluwasemilore Oyerinde - represented Nigeria at the European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO) in Bordeaux, France.

66 countries participated, but unfortunately, Huaijin Lou from China won the gold prize. Our girls will try again next year and this time bring home the gold.

It was fully funded by ex-Olympiads from Special Maths Academy with zero support from the government.

Education needs to regain its place in our society.
