6 AM to work drivers are a different breed. They’re quick, decisive, use their blinkers, and speed together. They calculate their moves down to the second and reek of efficiency. Don’t mess with them - they are silent ninjas who will take you out.
8 AM drivers are wannabe 6 AM drivers but lack discipline. They trade an extra 15 minutes of sleep for an extra 30 minutes of drive time. They have a bit of an attitude but are decent people. They know if they left 10 minutes sooner it would save them 25% of the drive time, but they don’t care.
9 AM drivers just don’t give a 💩. Their life is a disaster, maybe paycheck to paycheck. Everything is someone else’s fault. Their blinker is broken, and common courtesy is to use the shoulder as an additional lane because they are late. They merge past the merge point and feel the need to stay on your bumper even if you’re going 90 MPH. They have to make up for lost time somewhere, and this is their opportunity. Don’t honk at them - these are the people who made dash cameras a thing because of road rage.
So what time do you go in to work? 😆
WaPo: Some rank-and-file DC officers and detectives have complained for months — in some cases, years — that managers were recording serious crimes as more minor ones to make their police districts appear safer or avoid the ire of top department brass.
