March 15, 2019. I was gaming in a Discord call with some acquaintances when one of them told us to hop onto a livestream he'd found on 8chan. We all hopped on and watched the most horrific act of terror we'd ever seen in our lives.
That stream was the Christchurch mosque shooting, where 51 people were killed. I don't think any of us have been the same since.
Whether it's something like that, ISIS execution videos on Reddit, or car accident deaths, watching people die is not good for you. It takes a real toll on your mind.
Now the United States wants to livestream an execution and put that in front of anyone with a phone, including kids. It's an awful decision from an administration that doesn't care what it does to people, here or anywhere else.
