The History of Gender Dysphoria/ Transgenderism
DSM: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Used to diagnose and treat mental disorders by mental health professionals.
ICD: International Classification of Diseases. Published by the World Health Organization (WHO). Uses to classify and code various health conditions, including mental health.
WPATH: World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Issues guidance and standard of care.
- In DSM-III (1980), the key diagnosis was “transsexualism,” later replaced by “gender identity disorder” in DSM‑IV (1994) and DSM‑IV‑TR (2000), which classified it under “sexual and gender identity disorders.”
- DSM‑5 (2013) changed the name to gender dysphoria, focusing on distress about incongruence rather than identity itself, in an explicit effort to reduce stigma while retaining a billable psychiatric category.
- ICD‑10 (1990) grouped “transsexualism” and “gender identity disorder of children” under mental and behavioral disorders.
- ICD‑11 (2018) moved these into a new “conditions related to sexual health” chapter and renamed them “gender incongruence,” removing the requirement for distress.
- WPATH) has issued Standards of Care (SOC) since 1979, with major revisions in 1998, 2001 (v6), 2012 (v7), and 2022 (v8).
- Early 2000s to mid‑2010s: Deliberate shift toward a “gender‑affirming” model—loosening gatekeeping, emphasizing patient self‑report and identity, and framing transition‑related interventions as medically necessary care.
- SOC v7 (2012) broadened indications for hormones and surgery and recognized a wider spectrum of transgender and gender‑nonconforming identities.
- SOC v8 (2022) further expanded guidance, including detailed chapters on adolescents and nonbinary people.
What does this tell us?
For starters, the world recognized this disorder/phenomenon as a mental illness for decades.
Now, we don’t treat it as a disorder. Not only that, we celebrate it. We have teachers and parents convincing their children that this is a totally reasonable path and it’s perfectly normal.
So what changed?
Were the organizations corrupted by this dangerous ideology? I’ve certainly never seen any science suggesting that someone actually can change their gender or that it is somehow a social construct.
XX / XY. Pretty simple.
I personally feel bad for “transgender” people, because they were sold a lie. They were/are going through a mental crisis and people preyed on their weakness. They fed into it. They fostered it. In some cases, children were “transitioning” without the parents’ knowledge.
It is sick and it needs to stop. We shouldn’t have hate or disgust for the “transgender” person because the transgender person is confused. We should have compassion for them and help them any way we can.
Easiest thing to do: Stop lying to them and telling them they are something that they are not.
Stop feeding into delusion. Stop promoting these verifiably false claims.
@charliekirk11 said it best.

What an appalling speech the Mayor of New York delivered for the 250th anniversary of the nation.
Sadly, it reflects the view of America propagated for years by Howard Zinn and his like-minded colleagues in the universities and believed by armies of the young: a dark, oppressive country where common people are denigrated by tyrants and oligarchs, where immigrants are treated with contempt, where those with “soft hands” hold the wealth created by those with dirty hands.
No sensible person would claim that our country is without flaws, but the relentlessly negative picture painted by Mayor Mamdani is just absurd.
And it is the fruit of the Marxism that, sadly, is all the rage today.
Reminder that if you are fully vaccinated and up to date on boosters, you are allowed to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Those vaccinated are even permitted to have a very small backyard barbecue. Five person maximum.
JUST IN: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani used America’s 250th anniversary to sharply criticize the country, accusing the U.S. of allowing children to go hungry while billionaires and “oligarchs” gain more power.
He said America’s wealth was built by working people with “calloused, dirt-streaked hands" while accusing the country of allowing the wealth built by workers to be concentrated in “the soft hands of a precious few.”
“Journalists” that are members of Hamas, Hezbollah, or any radical terrorist groups are legitimate military targets.
I continue to support @IDF’s efforts. 🇮🇱
🚨 ANNA PAULINA LUNA JUST TURNED THE COVID PASSPORT ARGUMENT BACK ON DEMOCRATS.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna challenged Democratic criticism of the SAVE Act with a simple question:
"During COVID, they demanded that if you wanted to go to a funeral, be with your loved ones while they were dying, or get married... you had to show your papers."
She argued that requiring proof of citizenship and voter ID to vote is being unfairly compared to Jim Crow laws, despite widespread public support for voter identification requirements.
Her closing message was unequivocal:
"If you are not an American, you do not get to vote in our elections."
Watch the exchange and judge it for yourself.

Here's Adam Schiff in February vouching for his good friend Eric Swalwell's character, just a few weeks before Swalwell was completely exposed.
These two worked side by side for almost ten years. Schiff is either a complete dirtbag, a terrible judge of character, or both.
I’m granting nepo baby @TuckerCarlson permission to publish the text messages he claims to have stating that I told him “President Trump shut down the investigation into Butler.”
Those were his words, and he should show he has a pair of balls and publish them.
Spoiler alert 🚨:
He won’t. Because they don’t exist. I’ve already shown you the messages which say the opposite. I’m really sorry if you’re still dumb enough to fall for this Times Square “Rolex” salesman’s act.
@johniadarola You’re truly pathetic for this nonsense and it’s disrespectful to people who have actually been killed by mass murderers.
He has provided more value to the world in a single year than you ever will in the history of your existence.
You’re an idiot. Congrats!
In 1776, slavery was a normalized global practice with no model for abolition anywhere else in the world. As @SecRubio said, America has constantly improved over time because our Christian heritage gave us the foundation to move past those global norms. We self reflect and we grow.
Today, the biggest threat is a globalist agenda implemented through racist, communist plants like Obama, AOC, Mandani, Illan Omar etc (Insert the next racist America hater)... who want to destroy the exact moral heritage that allowed us to progress. This is why they can never speak of our history with any reverence. They must demonize the past (tear down the statues, rewrite the history books, add a different skin color to the character of a old story) so they can manipulate and control the future. These people and their movement are pure evil.
Barack Obama brought division and Marxism straight to the white house while sports figures like LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, and Bubba Wallace push endless victimhood and fabricated narratives.
The establishment's favorite leaders have done nothing but set our communities backward.

Trump cheated in 2016.
Trump tried to cheat in 2020 and got caught.
Trump cheated again in 2024.
We must pass nationwide voter ID laws so we can stop Trump and his cohorts from cheating again in 2028 and save our democracy. PASS THE SAVE AMERICA ACT TODAY! 🇺🇦💉😷✊🏿
Socialism is like a parasite. It needs a healthy capitalist host to survive.
It doesn't create much new wealth on its own. It mostly feeds off the productivity, innovation, and surplus that free markets generate. History keeps proving it.
Eric Trump just flipped the script on Chris Cuomo live on-air, leaving him shocked.
Cuomo accused President Trump of going after his political opponents the moment he took office…
Eric sounded off:
“Did we, did we try and bankrupt Biden? Did we raid Biden's home? Did we try and bankrupt Biden?”
“Did we weaponize every AG and DA against Biden? Do we do that against Hunter Biden who had a laptop from hell, pictures of cocaine, illicit drug use, prostitution?”
“Did we make up a dirty dossier? About Biden, did they try and destroy Biden's marriage? Did we make up stories that Biden had secret servers in the basement of his home communicating with the Kremlin in Russia?”
“Did we strip Biden off the ballot of multiple states? Did we take Biden off of Twitter and Instagram and Facebook and try and silence his voice so he couldn't communicate?”
“Did we put Biden in a courtroom every single day for nonsense to try and keep him off of a campaign trail to try and destroy his life?”
Well done @MrPoolQ1
February, 2026. Ro Khanna tells Shawn Ryan that an Epstein victim asked him to publicly call out a person who raped girls and that he was going to do it.
Hey Ro, what happened? You weren't making it up were you? The voice got a little shaky.
What's the guy's name Ro?
Jan 2018. Democrats and the media were apoplectic over Trump’s “shithole” comments, and were engaged in a campaign to defend Haiti.
Here, Anderson Cooper explains to Conan what an “amazing,” “incredible” and "culturally rich" place it is, and how he loves to spend his weekends and vacation time there.
Conan then went to Haiti and posed for the infamous “beautiful country” photo while sipping a drink out of a coconut.
Now, Dems and the media are telling you it would mean suffering or death for anyone to be sent back there.
Their narrative is wholly dependent on what is deemed to be politically useful at any given time.
They're not freezing your rent, they're freezing your housing providers' income, while their expenses keep increasing.
The point isn't to make your housing affordable, it's to make providing housing financially inviable, so government(s) can seize the unmanageable properties.
Our lack of financial literacy is going to destroy us.
