Starting with a pencil, paper, and an idea, our roots have expanded beyond just the hunting industry. We’ve gone from creating memories in the outdoors to scoring touchdowns on the biggest stage. We’ve been here since the beginning, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.
40 years. 40 unforgettable hunts.
To celebrate Realtree’s 40th anniversary, we dug into the Monster Bucks archives and brought together 40 standout hunts from the past four decades.
This week, we’re spotlighting Bill Jordan’s 24” wide Texas whitetail and Lee Lakosky’s unforgettable pursuit of the Gnarles Barkley.

Long before he wore an FDNY uniform, Michael Cammarata wore No. 11.
In 1991, Michael played right field for South Shore Little League of Staten Island at the Little League World Series. In the scorebook, his position was marked No. 9 beside his jersey number, 11.
Ten years later, at just 22 years old, Michael answered the call as an FDNY firefighter on September 11, 2001, and gave his life in service to others.
Today, No. 11 stands alone as the only number retired at the Little League World Series, forever honoring Michael’s courage, sacrifice, and the life he lived.
Twenty-five years later, we remember Michael and all those we lost that day.
Never forget.

But the biggest moment came at the ballpark, where Realtree and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources awarded six kids with lifetime hunting and fishing licenses.

For the men and women who show up early, stay late, and do the work that keeps this country moving. It’s a tradition rooted in pride, perseverance, and a willingness to get the job done.
This Labor Day, we honor those carrying it forward.

Forty years brings a lot to look back on.
The patterns. The products. The milestones. The unforgettable hunts.

For 40 years, Realtree has been shaped by family, friends, employees, hunters, partners and generations of outdoorsmen and women who share that same love for the outdoors.
Now, we’re going back to where it all began. The early days, the risks, the hunts, the friendships and the people who helped turn a dream into Realtree.
This is the story of our first 40 years.
