French trash streamer Rafael Graven, known as Jean Pormanove, died during a live stream of his ten-day marathon.
The 46-year-old Graven became a victim of abuse during the stream, where he was beaten, choked, and sprayed with paint for donations. On August 18, he died live on air after breathing strangely and freezing with an unusual expression on his face.
Other trash streamers initially tried to wake him up, but he didn’t regain consciousness. It turned out that he had passed away.
The funeral will be covered by rapper Drake and streamer Adin Ross. French Minister of Technology Clara Chappaz called the death “horrific,” and the Nice prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation.
The Kick platform, where the streams were held, is reviewing its rules.
