@PageauJonathan Seems 99.9% of the conversations are disingenuous. As you, Jay, and others have pointed out. Debaters talk past each other most of the time, then afterwards they go and make videos where they misrepresent the other person’s position. Orthodox are regularly misrepresented
@JDevilSports@PeteThamel Meanwhile, multiple other NCAA players have had their career ended in the modern NCAA era over betting on other teams, not even their own. Yet this is "just"?
@america So you're saying that if a country with an average IQ of 80 could conjure up a successful fraud scheme, other countries who are smarter could be more successful in their fraud schemes? Who coulda guessed it
@rhensing You’ll have to wait for 5 years unless you’ve established homestead prior to 2027. That means you’d likely have to agree to purchase a house before you even know if the constitutional amendment passes
@EYakoby It's bad. I'm not going to sugarcoat it.
But, let's not pretend that Shawn Ryan is the leader of half of the country either. He's not a political leader. He's not elected. A talking head speaking crazy is fundamentally different than a presidential nominee during an election.
@Cop4x4tv@RodDMartin You think you fix something that broken in a couple years? We can acknowledge there's room to go, but there's no reason to not acknowledge that there's been real growth. That's a positive, not a negative.
🧵New Orleans just proved failing schools can be fixed at scale.
It became America’s first all-charter school district.
The results are staggering:
• 99th percentile nationally in reading growth
• 98th percentile in math growth
• The only state in America beating pre-pandemic levels in both subjects
This is what real reform looks like. THREAD 🧵
@MattWalshBlog Half of the famous people aren’t great musicians, they’re entertainers who can use autotune. Could go to any open mic in Nashville and find amazing talent. Might be a better narrative for the right. We believe in the American story of the opportunity to grind and become something
@RonDeSantis The biggest hurdle is getting people who are so ingrained in a certain way of thought to think outside the box for 2 seconds to realize that it doesn't mean schools are getting less funding or something. It's uncomfortable for them to think a different way, if they try at all
@JayGuerin2@HuesmannKyle That may be true, but unless Iowa does it different than most programs, most programs don't usually recognize players if they aren't done with the program. Even if they graduate, they wait to recognize them on senior day until they're officially done.
