@OPTOUTSATOSHI @grok@saylor I think the answer to your question is that humans seem to always inevitably act in their own best interest. But what is in their own interest might not align with what is in the best interest of Bitcoin long term.
RFK Jr. says all harmful petroleum-based food dyes are being removed from American food.
“There are 9 petroleum-based synthetic food dyes.”
“We’re getting rid of all of them.”
“We got rid of 3 last year.”
“Getting rid of another 6 this year.”
“We’ve already fast-tracked the approval by FDA of 4 vegetable dyes, which are going to replace those.”
@Brownstreak_@TuckerCarlson Can you explain your comments further? Why do you regret not stopping sooner? What impact has it had on you? Has it impacted your long term physical health? Your lungs? If you could share details, that would be great.
@PeterSchiff Yes, Mr. Schiff. You are correct on this point. The more interesting question is: what impact does this have? That is, can the world be based on a money that has a finite supply? How would this play out?
If we have the technology, gold might be infinitely divisible.
Bitcoin is the best store of value. What does "best store of value" mean? It means the following:
That the probability of Bitcoin becoming valueless over the long term is lower than the probability of any other asset (including gold) becoming valueless over the long term.
If it is accepted that Bitcoin has intrinsic value, then this necessarily implies that the price of Bitcoin should be non-zero. This is still a major hurdle that has not been overcome by many highly intelligent people: why should the price of Bitcoin not be zero?
Contrary to what most Bitcoiners think, Bitcoin is not money. Bitcoin is a ledger. Ledgers can be useful for storing and transferring value, and hence Bitcoin can be used as money. But ledgers can be useful for other purposes as well, like storing information.
If Bitcoin had intrinsic value, then there would no longer be any question about its feasibility as money. But the answer is already there: Bitcoin does have intrinsic value. This value comes from its ability to store information.
Feels like we are going to enter a golden age in the USA. I’d be more convinced if the incoming administration added Mark Zuckerberg to the cabinet. IYKYK @finkd
@Rob_Gustof@Leishman@River LOL exactly! I don’t know why people are excited about this River product. What a scam/grift. Actually, they talk as if they’re doing a good thing for people. Nope, they are suckering people out of their money.
