You'll never please everyone, but:
1) They did the right thing for the horse
2) Watching the build up and the race was great fun
3) Epic result

Back from Southwell. The maddest evening I’ve ever had on a racecourse. The roar going out onto the second circuit was unlike anything I’ve heard on the Flat before, then just delirium as he walloped them. He’s a 9yo by Blue Bresil man 😂.
Viva racing, viva Constitution Hill.
Can we take a moment for the crowd?
That race went off after 7:30pm. On a Friday night. In February. Not exactly near a major city. Not for a major fixture. Not for a party.
Yet people showed up. Because the story was there. Because the horse was there.
This is horse racing.
